Why This Means So Much

Next year, just three days before turning 39, I’ll line up on the world stage wearing Canada’s colours. For me, this is more than just a race:

• It’s proof that it’s never too late to chase big goals.
• It’s a way of showing my community, here in Canada and back home in Mexico, that hard work opens doors you never thought possible.
• It’s a chance to inspire others to take on challenges, even if they feel “too old” or “too late” to start.
